Super Eagles Begins Journey For AFCON 2015 Glory As They Prepare To Face Congo In Calabar.

Work have begun by the Super Eagles head coach Stephen Keshi and his assistants towards the 2015 AFCON qualifier to be played in Calabar by the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Congo Brazaville.

According to the Eagles media spokesman, mr Ben Alaiya, most of the invited players are already in the country and John Mikel Obi and Vincent Enyeama are expected by the evening of Tuesday. He said Stephen Keshi's focus now is to build a formidable team that would dismantle any Congolese obstacles in the weekend game.

"The big boss has banished all forms of distractions that would hinder him from assembling a formidable squad for the qualifier. Some of the invited players are already in the country, " He said.

"I cannot tell you the total number of player in the camp now, but eventually Mikel, Enyeama and others of their teammates must be in camp by Tuesday. If Keshi does not have a reasonable number of players by monday evening, the Eagles will have their first full training by Tuesday morning.  This is because all players would have already been present in camp then.

"All hands are on deck to ensure that Eagles come out victorious in the game. " He added.

A reliable anonymous source told The Guardian that the Congolese team would arrive Nigeria by Wednesday.

EBOLA: President Obama Speaks To Nigeria And Other Affected West African Countries.

Hello.I want to take a few moments to speak directly to you the people of west Africa, especially in Liberia,Sierra Leone,Guinea and Nigeria. On behalf of the American people, I want you to know that our prayers are with those of you who have lost loved ones during this terrible outbreak of Ebola. Along with our partners around the world, the United States is working with your governments to help stop this disease. And the first step in this fight is knowing the facts.

First, Ebola is not spread through the air like the flu. You cannot get it from casual contacts, like sitting next to someone in a bus. You cannot get it from another person until they show the symptoms of the diesease, like fever.

Second, the most common way to get Ebola is by touching the body fluids of someone whos sick or has died from it like their sweats, saliva or blood. Or through contaminated item, like needle. Thats why the diesease is continuing to spread where patients are being cared for at home or during burials when families and friends lay loved one to rest. Thats why health care workers wear protection like gloves and masks. Its why, if you feel sick with high fever you should get help right away because with prompt treatment in a medical centre, nearly half of patients can recover. And its why when burying someone who died from the diesease, its important to not directly touch their body, you can respect your tradition and honour your loved ones without risking the lives of the living.

Stopping this disease wont be easy but we know how to do it. You are not alone. Together, we can treat those who are sick with respect and dignity. We can save lives. And our countries can work together to improve public health,so this kind of outbreak doesnt happen again. In this urgent work, and in building a stronger and more prosperous Africa, youll continue to have a patner in me and in the United States of America.
