Last week, news of Solange Knowles attack on her brother-in-law JayZ in an elevator which Beyonce watched helplessly was rife on the social media. Now reasons have emerged why the fight actually happened.
One of the reasons was that Solange and Jayz have not been best of friends since she was dropped from JayZ's Roc Nation label. Since then, Solange has been facing difficult times in her personal life and career.
The Immediate cause of the outburst was that Solange obviously drank too much in the Met gala party at the Standard hotel New York where the fight happened on May 5. In the elevator, Jay was reported to have made a comment that Solange did not like and then the attack of slapping and kicking of the 44 year old man began.
A source told New York post: "Clearly she was on something at the party, she was drunk and out of it. She got in the elevator with Jay and Bey. He had made a comment she didn't like and she just snapped. "
"She was the girl who drank too much and was behaving badly at the party. " Another one said.
Throughout the time the attack lasted, Beyonce did her best not to get involved.
