Real Madrid Beat Atletico Madrid 4-1 To Win 2014 Champions league title.
Real Madrid fc of Spain last night in Lisbon Portugal defeated the 2014 Spanish La liga champions, Atletico Madrid 4-1 to clinch the 2014 Champions league title.
Atletico Madrid opened the score sheet in 36th minutes when Diego Godin beat Sami Khendira in the air and loops the ball over an onrushing Ike Casillas who could not stop the ball from crossing the line.
The remainder of the regulation time was played with Real trying to equalise but to no avail as Atletico defence stood their ground.
In the 3rd of the 5 minutes added time, Real equalised as Sagio Ramos nodded in a Luka Modric corner.
In the 110 minutes of the extra time, Gareth Bale nodded in an Angel di Maria's effort that was saved by the Atletico Keeper.
In the 118 minutes, Mercelo capitalised on the weakness of the opponent's defence line to fire in the third goal.
In the 120 minutes, Christiano Ronaldo was brought down inside the Atletico box and he skilfully took the spot kick and gave Real the Fourth goal of the night. The Spanish Side is now crowned the 2014 Champions league Champions.
