After over two months of stiff competition, DJ Switch finally grabbed the $150,000 prize money for the maiden edition of the West African X-FACTOR.
The music talent hunt reality show sponsored by African leading telecommunications company, GLOBACOM, auditioned over 1000 youths across Nigeria and Ghana.
From the onset, talented contestants showed the judges the stuffs they were made of. The beautiful aspect being that the reality show gave opportunities for people of all ages to prove themselves as the contestants were grouped with the under 23 years of age on one side and the above 23s on the other side. They were later brought together as a single group when the number had been pruned to nine contestants.
In sunday's grandfinale that had the UK X- FACTOR winner Alexandra Burk and Flavour n'abania as Guest performers, DJ switch stole the show with a fascinating performance of FOREVER YOUNG by Jay Z.
She could not find her composure as she ran berserk into the audience to hold her mum in a long hug when she was announced the winner.
The winner of the West African edition of X-FACTOR went home with a mouth watering $150,000 which amount to twenty four million naira and one year recording contract with Sony Music.
Congratulations DJ Switch!
