Mourinho delighted by Mikel Obi's first premiership goal for chelsea in seven years.

Chelsea fc manager Jose Mourinho was pleased with his side's victory over Fulham at the Stanford bridge Saturday evening. The self acclaimed special one also expressed his delight as John Obi Mikel found the back of the net in his club's 2-0 defeat over their fellow west London club.

The first goal came in the second half when Oscar struck from a close range. Mikel Obi lashed home his first goal to double the lead and put the blues on top of the table after the game with five games.

To mourinho, the three points are better than a beautiful performance: "when we played a very good game against Everton and lost, the way we played was not important' he said ' what we produced was not important. The important thing was we lost the game and lost three points. If you want to be pragmatic, we analyse the same way and the most important thing is the result"

Mikel's second half goal sealed the victory for the self - proclaimed happy one and his team. It was his first premiership goal for the club since 2007.

Finally, mourinho praised Mikel Obi for breaking his 261 games goal drought.

"Good for him, good for us. I think good for his confidence. And I think people enjoyed seeing John score a goal. The goal was a shot in a set-piece, in a corner, a rebound, the finishing was good and he was in the position, but important thing for me is that he played a good game, he gave balance and stability. He kept very good control of the game, so I am happy with the way John is playing. "

Mike has not scored a premiership goal since mourinho's first spell at the west London clubside.
