The Golden eaglets of Nigeria this evening defeated the Swedish Under 17 national football team 3-0 in the on going FIFA under 17 junior world cup in the United Arab Emirate.
The first goal of the game came at the 21st minutes from the inside the box strike by Tiwo Awoniyi.
The first 45 minutes was dominated by the Nigerians as they took the game to the opponents but blew chances upon chances that would have placed them in a more comfortable position.
In the second half, the swedes took over the game but the Nigeria defence proved a hard nut to crack. At the 80th minutes, Nigeria's Samuel Okon slotted in a second goal following a counter attack to put the minds of Nigerians at rest.
The swedes were yet to recover from the second goal when Chidiebere Ezeh made it three in the 81st minutes when he stamped a loose ball into the net.
Nigeria forced the Swedish side to a 3-3 draw when the two sides met in the group stage.
Nigeria plays Mexico in the final on Friday.
