Manchester United Dutch striker Robin Van Persie has reportedly sent his son Shequeel, to join their city premier league rivals Manchester City Academy.
According to ESPN. UK, neither of Van Persie's and Phil Neville's sons have signed for the Manchester blues side, but they are not part of the club their fathers are directly involved.
Van Persie was the top scorer in the EPL last season while Neville joined David Moyes coaching team at United from Everton where he served with Moyes for eight years.
A club source was quoted as saying: "There is quite a bit of surprise about it, "
"You would have thought that if they were going to be with anyone, it would have been United. " he added.
